Berserk is a long-running dark fantasy manga by mangaka Kentarō Miura.
Berserk's setting is inspired by medieval Europe. It centers around the life of Guts, an orphaned mercenary warrior, and Griffith, the leader of a mercenary band called the Band of the Hawk. As he ages, Guts changes from a solitary boy into a man who realizes the value of camaraderie. The story contains elements of both fantasy and horror, as it explores both the best and worst of human nature. Both the manga and anime are noted for their heavy violence.

City Hunter is a manga series written and illustrated by Tsukasa Hojo, published in Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump from 1985 to 1991.
The series follows the exploits of Ryo Saeba, a "sweeper" who works to rid Tokyo of crime, and Kaori Makimura, a tomboyish girl who manages Ryo's business affairs. Their "City Hunter" business is an underground jack-of-all-trades operation, contacted by writing the letters "XYZ" on a blackboard at Shinjuku Station.
