Donald John Trump (born June 14, 1946) is an American businessman and politician who is President-elect of the United States. He is currently the chairman and president of The Trump Organization, the principal holding company for his real estate ventures and other business interests – a position he has said he will vacate prior to his assumption of the presidency. During his career, Trump has built office towers, hotels, casinos, golf courses, and other branded facilities worldwide.

He was elected President on November 8, 2016, defeating Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton, and will take office January 20, 2017. At 70 he will be the oldest person to ever become a first-term president.
